Orthopedic injections are safe and effective treatment options for many orthopedic diagnoses. Injection of corticosteroid, platelet-rich-plasma or hyaluronic acid are inexpensive, easy to administer, and often provide quick and long-lasting relief of the pain associated with arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, and many other conditions. TSK has developed specialty needles with unique characteristics for orthopedic injections. Regular hypodermic needles can easily become dislodged from the syringe or get occluded due to the high viscosity and small particles of for example hyaluronic acid. TSK’s orthopedic injection needles overcome these commonly experienced issues.

Orthopedic procedures ask for specific features.

The hard polymer HPC or “advance hub” has a wide internal geometry for improved flow rates and an overall shorter length than traditional hubs. It also allows for a tighter luer lock connection because of the built-in exterior treading. The PRC or “control hub” is made of extremely hard polymer preventing “flexing” of the hub when exposed to high pressures which ultimately prevents leakage and needle pop-off. It has a traditional hub geometry making it compatible with all syringes.
